Administrative Assistant - Risk Management and Fleet Management

The Administrative Assistant, Risk Management and Fleet Management is a position based out of Emterra’s Burlington office. This position provides administrative support to the Risk Management and Fleet Management departments to maximize productive time.

What will you do?
  • Maintain and update documentation (risk assessment documents, driver manuals, safety handbooks, material safety data sheets (MSDS) binders, etc.);
  • Track and manage reports;
  • Assist with managing claims, including WSIB claims;
  • Research legislation regularly;
  • Data entry using a number of programs, including RTA, Carriers Edge, GeoTab GPS and Great Plains;
  • Coordinate events, meetings, and appointments, taking minutes/notes when necessary; 
  • Liaise with all departments and levels of the organization;
  • Client liaison; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

What will you bring?
  • 3+ years previous experience in an administrative role;
  • Post-secondary education (diploma, certificate, or degree);
  • Strong organizational and inter-personal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and without direction is required;
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook);
  • Experience with other software, such as Great Plains or RTA, is considered an asset; and
  • Experience in the transportation industry or manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
