We are looking for an Operations Administrator at our Surrey, BC office. This individual will focus on the daily operations involving investigations, quotes, inspections and customer relation calls.  Our operations administrator needs to be organized, computer savvy, able to communicate effectively with managers, supervisors and customers.  If you have a desire to work in a fast paced environment with an entrepreneurial mindset you are our candidate!
 
What will you do?
  • Payroll administration;
  • Every morning review and close the route sheets from day before & enter the disposal tickets and route sheet #’s
  • Administrative hub for all reporting relating to – waste tracking and diversion, productivity, cost tracking & profitability; 
  • Refuel statements which are to be processed for payment;
  • Refuel -download to computer in excel;
  • Unbilled arrears and pre bill;
  • Support on daily data entry including scale slips, route data, fuel logs and other data as required;
  • Support on the daily driver work preparation (route sheets, keys, supplies, etc.;)
  • Back-up to customer service and dispatching overflow calls;
  • Support Operations Manager in the preparation of reports and analysis; and
  • Other administrative & operational duties as required.
 
What will you bring?
  • Grade 12 or GED equivalency;  post-secondary education considered an asset;
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience working in a related office/administrative role;
  • Experience and knowledge of the waste management or transportation industry an asset;
  • Experience with data entry and the generation of reports;
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines;
  • Experience providing customer service and the ability to act with diplomacy and professionalism;
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft applications (Excel);
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as necessary; and
  • A friendly personality combined with a “roll-up your sleeves and get it done attitude”!
