We are a small close-knit team looking for an individual who shares our passion for excellence and growth. You are an expert at building relationships that transform into new business opportunities and you have solid organizational skills that ensure the retention of existing customers within your assigned market area.
 
What will you do?
  • Participate in membership boards such as: Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association and Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities;
  • Attend council meetings as required;
  • Work closely with other business development managers to promote Emterra services and solutions;
  • Coordinate delivery of carts, containers and bins for rural service as needed;
  • Liaison with the Ministry of Environment on landfill closures and develop potential transfer station opportunities;
  • Distribution and maintenance on all calendars for pick up schedules on Municipal Contracts
  • Address all service issues in rural accounts professionally and promptly;
  • Achieve growth by increasing market share and proving value to the Company’s customers;
  • Work with sales representatives in the field to develop and gain new business while maintaining existing customer base and delivering exceptional customer service;
  • Be field based and have a desire and ability to cultivate sales for larger accounts and coordinate with other Emterra divisions on quoting and executing sales across divisions;
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands Company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in the targeted markets;
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their short and long term waste diversion and sustainability needs;
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses briefs, highlighting realistic forecasts to the management team;
  • Identify emerging markets, including new services and products, and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status;
  • Maintain accurate client records;
  • Work hand-in-hand with the ICI operations team to ensure timely service delivery;
 What will you bring?
  • Post secondary diploma or degree;
  • Strong growth mindset and a drive to solve issues for difficult customer challenges;
  • Proven ability to lead, build trust and be highly credible across all levels of organizations;
  • A strong sales and business background, with 3 to 5 years of municipal related experience;
  • Liaise with various municipal authorities and communicate our issues and requirements, remove road blocks in order to receive approvals in a timely manner;
  • Demonstrated ability to expand market share and service delivery;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization and to customers;
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from the planning stage to close;
  • Strong business sense, financial acuity and industry expertise;
  • A valid driver’s license with dependable vehicle resources;
  • Local travel—an average of 75% of time out of office should be expected; and
  • Able to travel in Canada or provincially as required.
